Athletico saved by a late equaliser

Athletico needed a last minute equaliser to secure 1 point against HOKC on Sunday, March 4 2017.
Having failed to win a match in BUSA League 2017, debutant Ibrahim was able to secure a point at 89th minute.

I don't deserve being subbed, says Vinaldo

Leicester's forward, Vinaldo was angry with his coach for being subbed for Bolu Fayoshe during a match with Dortmund at Babcock University Stadium.
He said to his coach in pidgin ''see, no dey sub me like this again or else I go stop to dey show for match''. ''Now am enjoying my game, I'm playing well but all u can do is to sub me''. He explained further.

Unlucky Dortmund lost 1-0 to Leicester

Leicester beat Dortmund 1-0 at Babcock University Stadium on March 5, 2017 to overcome PSG on the log.
Dangana of Dortmund was sent off 15 minutes into the match as a result of a bad tackle on Vine.
Linus replaced injured Vine as he couldn't continue because of the heavy challenge he received from Dangana
Leicester's defender, Faith found the back of the net at the 40th minute with a long range shot which bounced off the goal keeper right in the 18 yard box.
The second half started with Leicester's coach making 2 substitutes, Deji was subbed for Yemi and Ope came on for Great.
Dortmund continued to hunt for an equaliser but couldn't cope with the pressure for long in the second half as the coach optioned for 3 straight substitutes. Daniel, Shoga and Eze replaced Sanusi, Mazi and Edafe respectively.
Leicester came close to scoring 75th minute, but the hope was dented by Dortmund's goal keeper who came off his line to save his team with the slightest touch.
At the end of the match was 2 substitutes, each from both sides. Orezi replaced Fowosere to pushed for an equaliser and Bolu Fayoshe was introduced to seal the game for the blues but non of the plans worked as Leicester grabbed a vital 3 points from what was seen as luck!...

Mario flops as Leicester shares the spoils with Bayern.

Bayern played 1-1 draw with Leicester on March 3 2017 at Babcock University Stadium.
Leicester started the game on a high note by completing most of their passes at the early stage of the match but failed to open the scoreline due to shocking misses from Chris and Mario.
Mario had the chance to break the deadlock 3 minutes into the game but placed the ball over the crossbar.
He missed glorious opportunities inside the 18 yard box which got him subbed for Great in the first half.
Shola put Bayern ahead with a solo goal inside of the 18 yard box.
Great repaid the faith his coach had in him as he scored a rebounded shot to level the score before half time.
Bayern as the favourite according to odds played below par as their star men, Matto and Dominic were outplayed by Leicester defenders.
Both teams made two substitutes in the second half. Scrappy and Hocket came on for Alex and Monachi respectively (Bayern) with Vine and Fayoshe coming on for Chris and Venaldo (Leicester).
Non of the half time substitutes could make the difference as the game ended 1-1.

Carter-less PSG got wiped out by Dortmund


Dortmund put 3 past mentally weakened PSG on Friday, March 3 2017 to grab vital 3 points
Shola (PSG) started the match with nice footworks but the team played below par overall which sees Neymar subbed for Greg during the early stage of the second half.
Benzo broke the deadlock 55 minutes into the game with a powerful strike.
Dortmund's Coach made changes with two subtitutes, Fowosere and Kenny for Dangana and Orezi respectively.
Greg lightened up his team with some beautiful run in and good off the ball movements which got him fouled in the 18 yard box but the referee blew fair play.
Dortmund continued to pressure PSG and got the second goal through Anu, assited by Shoga.
Nehemiah slotted in a cool finish to put the game beyond doubt at 87th minute.

Shola got himself a red card for insulting the referee at the last minute of the match.

Bayern hammered four past Athletico

Bayern beat Athletico FC 4-1 on Friday 17th of February to claim the second spot on the log. Bayern FC ace, Mato netted a brace to secure a deserved 3 points after he had missed opportunities to open the scoreline at the early stage of the match.
He broke the deadlock 39th minute with the assistance of Shenzo with a long throw, then scored the second in the second half from a through pass.
Athletico pulled one back courtesy of cameo Peter who lashed onto a loose ball at the edge of the 18 yard box to make it 2-1.

Jindaya, Bayern's new signing made good impact by scoring a header through a long throw from Shenzo to make the scores 3-1 and Scrappy came off the bench 75th minute and smashed a beauty past the helpless Athletico goalkeeper at the late stage of the match to cap off what was an impressive performance.
Athletico started the match as an underdog having won only one out of their 4 league matches.
Olaofe Olayoye, head coach of Athletico said, 'we made mistakes and we darely paid for it. We'll try to improve in our next game.''
''we collapsed towards the end of the match. We let ourselves down and showed a chronic lack of character. We'll surely bounce back.'' His assistant added.
